I have another very easy recipe to share with you - banana waffles! I love regular waffles too, but this time I decided to try something new and added bananas. Ah, so good! I won't say much about waffles since everybody knows what a great breakfast/brunch they make. The best thing about them is that they're very quick to make and you can top them with pretty much everything you desire: chocolate sauce, maple syrup, crushed nuts, vanilla cream, ice cream, fresh berries, etc. The recipe was adapted from Lynn's Kitchen Adventures.
Author: Lynn's Kitchen Adventures
- 2 cups (4.8) all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 3/4 cups (4) milk
- 1/2 cup (1.2) mashed banana
- 6 tbsp cooking oil
- 2 large eggs
- In a medium bowl, combine dry ingredients.
- Add remaining ingredients and whisk together.
- Let batter sit for 5-10 minutes.
- Stir and cook on preheated waffle iron (follow the instructions that are specific to your waffle iron, mine required about 1-3 minutes to cook, and I had to butter the iron between each waffle).
- Serve the waffles immediately and use your favorite toppings; mine were caramel and crushed walnuts.
