Guacamole

Guacamole is a very versatile sauce: it's good with tortilla chips, fajitas, burritos... But also, in my opinion, it could serve as a perfect side dish or even as a replacement for a salad! In any case, it's very delicious and nutritious! The recipe was adapted from Chichilicious.

Guacamole
Author: Chichi

Ingredients (yields 2 cups or 4 2/3 dl):
  • 3 ripe avocados
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 1/4 cup (2/3 dl) cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1/2 jalapeño, chopped
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tomato, chopped
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
Directions:
  1. Put the chopped onion, tomato, jalapeno, and cilantro in a large bowl (glass or metal).
  2. Add, the salt, pepper, and cumin.
  3. Cut and scoop out the avocados. Using a potato masher or a fork start mashing the avocados leaving chunks of avocado. Squeeze one lime over the mixtures. Make sure you have mixed it well with the rest of the ingredients. Serve immediately.
Can keep for 2 days. Cover with plastic wrap pressing it against the guacamole and make sure that there is no air that can enter.
